In 2018 we have expanded our team, continued to be the leading independent estate and lettings agency in the Horsham area, and enjoyed continuing to support a high number of schools and good causes too.

As we look back at another successful year, we’ve collected just a few highlights to share with you all. If you bought through us, let a property, sold a property or simply enquired about our services, thank you using and considering us in 2018.

Until 2019, here are some interesting facts and stats about our business:

Release of Holmes Park

In 2018 we launched an impressive 102 apartment development in North Street, Horsham. Holmes Park in the former council buildings has been an investment in the community and a provider of first homes for buyers as part of the Help to Buy Scheme.

The development has been a major success, with over 70% of the apartments already reserved, and the first completions booked to take place in early 2019. However, it’s not too late to reserve one, as there are still a number left to buy.

Sold over £80m worth of property

In 2018 we broke our own record for total property sales, by selling more than £80 million of property within the Horsham district, which was an impressive result, especially taking into account that the total number of completions were down by around 15%.

Expanding our team

We have been happy to provide a warm welcome to additional team members, to help deal with this increased level of business, which means that we now have over 200 years of collective, property related experience.

2018 award winners

At the prestigious Negotiator Awards in November we were shortlisted for two categories; the UK’s Best Single Office Agency and the Best Estate Agency (of any size in the South East). On the night we won GOLD and SILVER respectively for these awards.

At the time our Managing Director Peter Maskell stated,“I am naturally extremely proud that my team has once more being recognised as one of the best estate agencies in the country. We work tirelessly to offer the best service possible and in a challenging market have managed to maintain strong sales, in a marketplace where volumes are dropping.”

He continued, “Having already won 6 previous awards from The Negotiator, including the UK’s Best Small Estate Agency on 4 separate occasions I can understand how hard it is to be acknowledged as the best of the best.”

For the 9th consecutive year we also secured the title of the “Best Agent in West Sussex” , at the UK Property Awards, which is an unprecedented run of success. At the British Property Awards, the lettings team won the Lettings Award for Horsham for the first time.

We’re touched!

Our interactive touch screen on East Street is still generating high levels of interaction with over 91884 recorded across the course of the yearnteractions from the public. The screen allows passers-by to view our portfolio and submit their contact details.

In particular, we’re interested to see that almost 60% of these touches occurred outside of our office opening hours, meaning people are still able to get the information they need and to generate interest on our properties at any time of day or night.

Invested in the local community

In December we were delighted to have worked with the Salavation Army, to collect presents for under-privilidged families in the Horsham district, which was a great success In addition, we also sponsored and promoted The Pink Gift Fair, which raises money for Cancer Research UK, as well as St Catherines Hospice, St Andrews & Lower Beeding schools, The Halloween Trail, Easter Bunny Hunt & Broadbridge Heath Village Fair.

As a proud Horsham business, we also supported the Association of Sussex Artists, established in 1928, for their annual show in the Drill Hall, and provided funds for their prizes too., as well as taking a stand and sponsoring Sparks in the Park, which is organised by Horsham District Council.
